YVR welcomes ZIPAIR to Vancouver with non-stop flights to Tokyo

We are looking forward to being the first Canadian airport to welcome ZIPAIR with new non-stop service to Narita International Airport (NRT) in Tokyo, Japan. ZIPAIR is a Japanese leisure airline which incorporates the aesthetic and details you would expect to see from a Japanese carrier, at a lower cost. Travellers will be able to start flying this route March 13, 2024.

We are proud to connect B.C. to the world and thrilled to partner with ZIPAIR. This new non-stop service to Tokyo through Narita International directly benefits our community and the economy that supports it by providing another option for travel to Japan, making it easier for friends, family, and international students to travel on one of our most in demand international routes.

Vancouver will mark ZIPAIR’s first Canadian destination and fourth across the Pacific, following Los Angeles, San José Mineta, and San Francisco. The airline’s fleet is comprised of Boeing 787-8 aircraft, each carrying 18 full-flat seats and 272 standard seats.

Every new flight to YVR creates economic activity and jobs for our region. The new service to Narita International is expected to generate $16.9 million in economic output, $9 million in GDP, and 115 full time jobs in the province.

By the end of March, ZIPAIR will be flying between Vancouver and Tokyo three days per week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Starting July 23rd, ZIPAIR will expand scheduled service to five days per week, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Join us in welcoming ZIPAIR to the YVR community! We are very excited about this new route and are eager to hear about all the adventures travellers will have in Japan this coming year. For more information about flight times and to book, visit: www.ZIPAIR.net.
