YVR welcomes iconic B.C. brand with two upcoming additions to airport dining

At YVR, we are thrilled to announce an exciting update to our airport food and beverage program; White Spot is returning to the terminal and Triple O’s is coming, too! We are looking forward to welcoming these two beloved local brands to the airport as part of our commitment to providing an authentic taste of Vancouver and B.C. to travellers from around the world.

Since 1928, White Spot has been a place where you pull up a chair and come as you are. Originally a mobile lunch counter at Vancouver’s Lookout Point, serving hot dogs and peanuts out of a converted Model T, White Spot has expanded to 50+ locations welcoming more than 12 million guests every year—a true Canadian success story. Known for their Legendary burger with its secret Triple “O” sauce, their carhop service and their kid-friendly “Pirate Pak” meals, White Spot has been a family tradition for B.C. residents for over 90 years.

White Spot shares many values with YVR, notably their commitment to sustainability and locally sourced ingredients. They became Ocean Wise partners in 2017, and in 2019, became the first restaurant chain to receive the Ocean Wise® Sustainable Seafood Award at the Where to Dine Vancouver Awards. When you see the Ocean Wise logo on their menu, you know you are making a seafood-savvy decision.

Working with local suppliers has been built into their operations since 1935, when they first established a partnership with the Guichon family’s Felix Farms in Delta—which still supplies potatoes for their signature Kennebec fries today.

In 1997, White Spot’s “cousin” Triple O’s was born, bringing White Spot’s iconic burgers, fries and shakes to folks on the go via a counter service model. In an airport setting, we know people value both quick and full-serve dining options, so we thought, why pick?

Triple O’s will be located after security near Gate B14 and is scheduled to open this summer.

With a design inspired by West Coast imagery, the full-service, sit-down White Spot restaurant will be located before security on Level 3, adjacent to the Domestic Food Court. Watch for an opening date in 2025.

At YVR, we take pride in collaborating with local businesses like White Spot and Triple O’s to showcase our community to travellers from near and far. Our culinary program celebrates the best of B.C., fostering connections and celebrating the rich flavours that define our region.
