Hula Poké lands at Vancouver International Airport
Global flavours and good vibes of local poké restaurant on offer for domestic travellers
Today Vancouver International Airport (YVR) celebrates the highly anticipated opening of Hula Poké in its domestic terminal. The new restaurant, located post-security, provides another option for travellers departing for Canadian destinations with breakfast, lunch and dinner items offered over extended hours to better serve travellers.
Hula Poké is the 12th local brand to open a storefront at YVR since 2022, underscoring the airport’s commitment to working with B.C. businesses that use responsibly produced ingredients.
Hula Poké has arrived at YVR, and we are thrilled to see them offer their one-of-kind healthy menu to thousands of daily travellers and employees. Hula Poké is an exciting local restaurant that reflects the best of our region and makes for a great addition to the growing list of local food and beverage offerings at YVR.
Hula Poké is western Canada’s premium poké quick-service restaurant with 17 locations operating in British Columbia and Alberta. The first Hula Poké opened in 2017 in Vancouver’s CF Pacific Centre shopping mall. Hula Poké uses responsibly sourced fish, fresh produce, and in-house sauces, to create the most flavourful and unique poké bowls in the market. The menu offers mouth-watering “Wai Tai” beverages made in-house with coconut water, and spicy cassava chips on the side, to complement each bowl. The menu is globally inspired, with regional flavours.
“Hula Poké offers a great option for travellers seeking healthy, quality foods on the go. The flavours are vibrant and unique. The poké bowls are made-to-order and super fresh. The product can be enjoyed in the terminal sitting down, or easily taken on the plane. We are ecstatic about our presence at YVR, and initial feedback from travellers suggests they feel the same way.
Known for its sense of place, YVR is on a journey to transform its culinary program to include local brands as well as select national and international chains to craft a dining experience that caters to all tastes.
To celebrate this new food and beverage offering, Hula Poké and YVR are hosting activations until May 30 at the airport, featuring giveaways and sample tastings for travellers.
