Greetings & Giving: How YVR and Quest Are Supporting More Families This Holiday Season
Every holiday season, Vancouver International Airport (YVR) brings together partners, passengers, and the broader Sea Island community to help ensure families across British Columbia can celebrate the holiday season with dignity and comfort by picking festive meal options that best meet their needs. For more than a decade, YVR has supported Quest Outreach Society, one of the province’s largest not-for-profit food distributors, contributing nearly $1 million since 2011.
This year, YVR and Quest are introducing an enhanced approach to seasonal giving through Greetings & Giving, a refreshed initiative that reflects the evolving needs of the community. Instead of gathering traditional food hampers, the program now centres on Quest’s Holiday Gift Card Program, which provides families with the flexibility to choose the groceries that best suit their cultural preferences, dietary needs, and holiday traditions.
By shifting to monetary donations, YVR and Quest are helping more families access fresh, nutritious food in a way that promotes dignity and choice.
Please join YVR and Quest on December 10 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at The Spirit of Haida Gwaii: The Jade Canoe (International Departures - Level 3, YVR) to make a donation, enjoy seasonal treats, learn more about Quest’s work, and contribute a handwritten greeting card for families receiving support.
Every contribution helps and you can make a difference for local families by donating in-person on December 10, or donations can also be made online and YVR will match all contributions until December 31, doubling the impact.
Whether you’re a long-time supporter or giving for the first time, your generosity helps ensure thousands of families across B.C. can experience a brighter holiday season.
