Follow signs for “Train to City” to catch the Canada Line SkyTrain and reach downtown Vancouver in approximately 25 minutes.

Pick up areas are located at:

• International Arrivals, Level 2
• Domestic Arrivals, Level 2

• Cellphone Waiting Area: Avoid circling the terminal—your driver can park for free in the Cellphone Waiting Area while waiting for you to arrive.
• Free 30-minute parking: Your driver can also take advantage of 30 minutes of free parking in the parkade.

YVR’s security checkpoints are equipped with advanced CATSA Plus CT scanner technology, allowing passengers to keep liquids, aerosols, gels, and large electronics in their carry‑on bags at select checkpoints while moving through screening more efficiently. Combined with biometric boarding on select flights, which enables identity verification in seconds, these innovations help support a smoother passenger journey, though wait times may still vary during peak travel periods.

To make your journey easier, make sure to:

• Have your boarding pass and ID ready as you approach screening.
• Enroll in biometric boarding on select flights to verify your identity in seconds at the gate.
• Follow on-screen instructions and clear signage throughout the checkpoint.
