YVR is matching up to $100,000 to Covenant House Vancouver

As part of the YVR Cares Social Impact Program, YVR is the proud matching donor for the community-wide Covenant House Vancouver $100,000 Spring Match Campaign running May 15 – June 30, 2023.

Since 2015, YVR has been supporting Covenant House Vancouver’s mission of providing relentless support, absolute respect, and unconditional love; to help youth experiencing homelessness; and to protect and safeguard all youth in need.

For youth such as Megan*, who experienced a lack of support from her family, homelessness at a young age and loss of custody of her daughter, Covenant House can transform lives. After arriving at Covenant House, Megan was welcomed with open arms and wrap around support to help her get back on their feet. With support from basic necessities to connecting with a counsellor and a social worker, Megan built up confidence and life skills she learned during her time at Covenant House and within a year was able to find housing and regain custody of her daughter.

Through our partnership, YVR uplifts the efforts of Covenant House Vancouver to ensure more youth get the support they need. YVR provides significant community investment in addition to employee giving and employee volunteering opportunities.

“YVR is proud to expand our long-standing partnership with Covenant House and double the impact by matching all donations”, said Tamara Vrooman, President and CEO, YVR. “We are deeply invested in our people and community. Through this partnership we are pleased to support Covenant House in the important and impactful work they are doing to provide hundreds of youth wrap-around support and welcoming them to a safe, respectable, hopeful and comforting environment.”

This year, we invite you to support Covenant House Vancouver’s Spring Match campaign by making a donation here. Any amount helps as all donations will automatically be matched by YVR up to $100,000 total.
