The tours provide an opportunity for students to explore a wide range of careers that keep the airport running. From engineering and technology to emergency services, students connected directly with employees who shared a little about their training and the skills needed to keep the airport running safely and efficiently.

Students participated in hands-on exercises with Fire & Rescue and explored the innovative Digital Twin — an advanced 3D tool used to monitor airport operations in real-time. Throughout the tour, they also met and talked with other team members working across the airport, learning about the many jobs available across the airport.

This marks the tenth time YVR has hosted students for this type of educational program, underscoring our ongoing commitment to youth, education and training. By opening our doors to the next generation, we aim to inspire future team leaders and reinforce YVR’s role as more than just a place for arrivals and departures—it’s a hub of innovation, collaboration, and opportunity.
