                        <title>Dinsmore Bridge overnight closures</title>

                        <guid>https://news.yvr.ca/dinsmore-bridge-overnight-closures/</guid><pp:caseid>797802</pp:caseid><description><![CDATA[<p><span>YVR is committed to maintaining safe and reliable access to Sea Island and will be making necessary upgrades to the Dinsmore Bridge to ensure the longevity, resilience, and reliability of this critical piece of infrastructure.</span></p><p><span>This upgrade work will take place overnight from September 14 through December 31.</span></p><p><span>During this period, the Dinsmore Bridge will be closed to all traffic nightly from Sunday to Friday between the hours of 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Traffic will be detoured via the No. 2 Rd. Bridge, a 6-minute detour.</span></p><p><span>The planned overnight closure and designated detour route will allow essential maintenance to be completed while supporting continued access to Sea Island for airport operations, employees, and the travelling public. Outside of the closure hours, the speed limit will be reduced to 30 km/h.</span></p><p><span>The scheduled work is subject to a number of factors, including weather.
